Revos will fit to most bikes, those with a the diamond frame, made up of two triangles, which are found in great numbers everywhere. Commuter bikes, road bikes, touring bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, urban bikes. To check if Revos will fit your bike just click on: Revos | will it fit my bike?
Yes we can! To fit our standard pedal assist sensor disc there has to be a gap between the back of the pedal crank arm and the frame of the bike of at least 4mm. Most bikes have this, but some don't! If your bike doesn't then just let us know when you order your Revos and we will include one that will fit your bike, we call it the Lollipop sensor disc. If you don't discover this until you are trying to fit the kit then don't worry, get in contact and we'll drop a Lollipop in the post to you. Sorted! You can see the Lollipop here: Lollipop Sensor Disc
The Revos ebike kit can usually be fitted in under 20 minutes. A quick fit guide User's Manual are all provided to assist. These can be found in the Support tab at the top of this webpage. Watch the Initial Set Up Video
Yes. You can fit the battery carrier using plastic cable ties with a cushioning strip underneath. Let us know and we'll include cable ties and cushioning strip. Alternatively, the battery carrier can be easily fitted to the top of a bike rack. If you want to do this the let us know when you place your order and we will provide the longer cables that you will need.
No. We have a drive unit mount that allows the cable to pass through it. Just let us know when you order your Revos ebike kit and we'll make sure that we send you one.
In practice we've found that if you use electric assist all the time then for urban trips in hilly Bristol the 200Wh battery lasts for about 25 miles (40 km). Factors such as how hard you pedal, how much you weigh, how many hills you climb, whether there’s a head wind, what type of tyres you have, will make a difference, but its still your bike as well as an ebike so you can still just pedal home!
Yes you can. We have developed "Revogrip" a composite silicon carbide compound coating so that Revos drives the the bicycle wheel around, without slipping, even when the tyre is
wet from heavy rain or from riding through puddles. Revos and the battery are water resistant and will not be affected from riding through heavy rain. The battery should not be left routinely overnight in the rain. Neither Revos nor battery need to be cleaned, but we think its so good looking you’ll probably want to clean it off if it gets dirty. That can be done with a damp cloth or sponge.
Yes you can, but the rear wheel mudguard can’t be continuous from the bottom bracket
up to the seatstays as Revos needs to be able to turn here against the rear wheel. That means either using a clip on rear mudguard that fits to the seat post or a mudguard that extends from the bottom bracket to the seat stay only. You could also cut back a full mudguard to just below the seatstays to the mudguard bracket there. Revos does not affect the use of front wheel mudguards.
Yes you can obtain just the battery from us, without the carrier or controller, so that you can keep the spare one charged for an immediate swap out if you want to go out again straight away with your Revos if you’ve been for a long trip.
That will vary depending where you are in the world and what your energy tariff is.
However it shouldn’t be much. In the UK it would typically be less than 4p for the larger battery, that seems like a bargain.
Sorry no. The batteries are matched to the motor controller and the Revos won’t work with another battery and may even be damaged by it. Our batteries are excellent value for money and you can obtain another battery from us on its own if you want to.
They should be within the range recommended on the side wall of the tyre. This range is
best for pedalling efficiency, as well as Revos efficiency.
Revos can be used in many countries worldwide. A bicycle fitted with Revos is a
“cycle with pedal assistance which is equipped with an auxiliary electric motor having a maximum continuous rated power of 250W, of which the output is progressively reduced and finally cut off as the vehicle reaches a speed of 25 km/h (15.5mph), if the cyclist stops pedalling” and so conforms to European product safety standard EN 15194. That means that the legal use of Revos can be assessed in many countries worldwide and among others it can be used in the following places:
The UK; The EU; Norway; Switzerland; The USA; Canada; The Australian states of New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland; New Zealand.
